New York-based Ramnarace has created a line of high-end bowls and coasters, made entirely from recycled aluminum, which draw their inspiration from automotive themes. The motoring tie in is no surprise, as company founder Sid Ramnarace earned his design chops working for Ford. The designer worked on the form of the popular 5th generation Mustang, as well as projects for Aston Martin and Lincoln.
These fine home goods, named “Stirling,” “Mika,” “Emerson,” and “Tazio” after a few well known racing gods, are rather breathtaking in their elegance of form. Ramnarace calls the pieces “sturdy enough for everyday use,” and we believe it—though we’re not sure which task we perform everyday with calls for a large, slotted bowl. In any event, they’ll look nice in the breakfront.
Have a closer look at the drop dead kitchenware in the gallery above.
